Stitching can reduce stress and anxiety

When you stitch a project, you activate two separate areas of the brain...

the mesolimbic area releases dopamine through the reward system and the subgenual area which releases oxytocin.

When you’re being creative your brain releases dopamine, a natural anti-depressant.
Any rhythmic activity involving the palms and fingertips stimulates oxytocin release.

Stitching can reduce stress and anxiety and even lower blood pressure.

Let's get stitching...more dopamine and oxytocin, please!
